"A Place for Mom is a real life saver; mother had fallen in excess of 15 times in the past year and when we took them on vacation with us Dad fell twice (that makes 3 times within 3 weeks) and Mom fell once. In the past year she has broken both wrists, one at a time. If it wasn't for A Place for Mom, I would still be at their beckon call, 24/7. I can't believe what two weeks of meals three times a day has made in their appearance. They both have pink cheeks and look much healthier. It's wonderful to know that you are there if I need you, your an angel! "

Lighthouse at Waconia is an assisted living community located in the heart of Carver County with 75 apartments. We provide residents will the opportunity to enjoy apartment living in a residential community while obtaining the personal assistance and services they need to continue a life of purpose and independence.

Assisted Living – has a variety of floor plans ranging from studio, companion, one bedroom and two bedroom options. All apartments feature a kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave; individually controlled heating and air conditioning. Our residents have a 24 hour emergency alert pendant that is a direct contact to our 24 hour on site nursing staff. There are 59 apartments in assisted living.

The Harbor – is a safe, secure vibrant memory care unit that is located in the lower level walk-out area of our community. Our small, 16 apartment, unit has specially trained dementia care staff on site 24 hours a day. Residents at the Harbor have individual studio apartments.

This vibrant new senior living community is large enough to provide a full range of services and amenities, yet intimate enough to ensure personal comfort and attention. Our beautifully decorated common areas are available for all residents, and their guests, to enjoy including our living room with fire place, café, library, covered porch, and activity rooms.

Amenities and Services

  • Our Certified Nursing Aides are on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week under direct supervision of on-site RN or LPN
  • We have a 24 hour pendant emergency system
  • The Harbor is our memory care unit designed to meet the needs of our residents with memory issues
  • Full medication assistance is available through our on-site home care nursing staff
  • Three home cooked meals are provided, along with snacks throughout the day
  • Daily social, educational, physical, cultural, and recreational activities are offered
  • Monthly wellness clinic run by our nursing staff
