"I can't tell you how thankful I am to talk to you, knowing you can understand what I've been through. There is now hope for me to not feel so frustrated with navigating everything and not knowing what to do."

-- Teresa D.

"I want you to know how much I appreciate the support and guidance you have provided these past few weeks. As you well know it is not a simple matter to uproot someone from a known environment and put them into a new one. I have faith that the few small bumps we have encountered so far will be overcome pretty quickly and that she will settle in and be happy at her new home. It is a very lovely assisted living community and everyone there seems eager to be supportive and helpful. Again, thank you! "

-- Ron F.

"I just wanted to say THANK YOU for ALL your help and referrals – I have already told a bunch of people about “A Place For Mom” and will continue to do so. Without you this would have taken a lot longer! Thanks again for everything."

-- Lynn W.

Valleyview Assisted Living (AZ)
Valleyview Assisted Living is located on a 14-acre wooded campus just off Hwy. 169 between Shakopee and Jordan.

Some things that set Valleyview apart from the others are: an indoor vented smoking room, on-site psychiatric services, small pets allowed (if resident can care for them), and furniture provided. Valleyview’s “housing with services” homes are unique, offering a 1-to-2 staff to resident ratio in the Lydia Home and a 1-to-3 staff-to-resident ratio in the Franklin Home.

Valleyview also has an 8-room memory care unit, where residents are fitted with the WanderGuard wristband alarm system. We also have several cottages where residents can live and still receive the benefits of assisted living, such as meals, laundry, housekeeping and medication administration.

Private pay or medical assistance with a waiver are accepted methods of payment in the assisted living facility and memory care unit; PCA funding is used in the “housing with services” homes.

Valleyview has a unique combination of age groups, with more than 50 percent of its residents being under age 60. This population appeals not only to the younger resident, but also to the young-at-heart resident.

Valleyview nurses provide assessments free of charge, on- or off-site.
