We took Al to Brighton Gardens. When we first got there he was distrustful and looked at me and said "You're taking me home, right?" I said yes. He was a bit feisty for a moment, not seeming to like it there. Carolyn and I left him for a bit to talk with the nurse and get his belongings. To us assisted living means two things. You do the living and we help you do just that. Our personal assistants provide what you need when you need it. Here, the emphasis is less on paperwork and more on people.
