"I wanted to extend a thank you from our family for your efforts to help us. You have been very helpful in guiding us through this process. You are a wealth of information. Thank you again, you were so helpful."

"You and the service that you supply are life savers, literally. My mom loves where she is and has a totally new out look on life. The nursing home said she would be in a wheel chair for the rest of her life because she didn’t have the will to walk again. She is now starting to use her walker and her life is becoming filled with the things she loved to do. She’s playing bridge, meeting new friends and still close to us so that we can just pop in anytime we want. She now has her privacy back which is wonderful and Spring Estates is a quiet and calming place. I tell you I will recommend you and your service to everyone and let me tell you everyone I know is having to deal with just what I have gone through. So again, thank you so much!"

"Thank you once again for your wonderful help and assistance with this very difficult situation. Mom is in Merrill Gardens and appears to be very, very happy about it. She misses Dad terribly but she gets much more support from her new friends than I could have ever given her. Mom participates in every single activity without any hesitation. We are still making every effort to get Dad there too. Thanks again, I could not possibly articulate how much I deeply appreciate everything you have done."

Lorelton
Wilmington, DE
Retirement Community, Assisted Living
Lorelton (AR) Assisted Living

On the outskirts of the city, The Lorelton is conveniently located within walking distance to a number of stores, restaurants, banks, etc., yet situated in a quiet area with a ballpark directly across the street and  large, beautiful stone church on an adjacent street.  The Lorelton is listed on Wilmington's historic registry, having originally been the Charles B. Lore school and looks like a big, brick castle.  It's ambiance and charm are compared to none.

When entering, one instantly senses welcome, warmth, individuality and an unpretentious luxury that abounds.  We are one-of-a-kind and have an exemplary reputation throughout the area and within the industry.

Our light-drenched apartments with huge paned windows, big sills and high ceilings have more of a 'feel' of space than any competitor.  With unique floorplans, every single apartment has a different lay-out.  Our original library with fireplace serves as the resident's own reserved living room which acts as a money-saving highlight when only needing extra space every once in a while for a birthday, family meeting, renuion or luncheon.  Our bricked and fountained courtyard is well-loved here and is used nine months out of the year as ample seating, walkways, flower, fruit and vegetable gardens, barbeque grills and bird-feeders are found throughout in this well-lit and quiet area.  Our indoor greenhouse is used year-round and is always thriving.  Our guest accommodations act as a nice refuge for any friends or family coming from out-of-town wherein a full apartment awaits at below normal pricing., our publicly advertised art exhibits host many a local Wilmingtonian artists with beautiful receptions launching their works.  Our lobbies and activity areas provide pianos, organs, books, games, stereos, etc., for anyone wishing to feel as though they are in their own family room.  Additional, unmentioned features abound making The Lorelton quite impressive in nature.

Amenities and Services

  • The Lorelton has a 24/7 R.N., 24/7 maintenance and 24/7 security in the building. There is an activities directress witn two assistants, 1 art directress, a beauty salon/barber shop open three dayss a week, Tai Chi and seated Tai Chi classes, computer room and classes, events, parties, celebrations, classes, games, modified sports, exercises, outings, shopping, religious services, socials, travel excursions, keynote speakers, entertainers galore, etc. We also have PT, OT and speech therapy available and CNA's assigned to every floor 24/7. We provide transportation to local doctor and dental appointments, grocery stores, pharmacy, library, post office, and bank outings.
  • A major distinction of our facility is should someone or a couple enter as independent residents and eventually need assistance, they will not have to move from their apartment. So many times one of the two might require more care and then a couple becomes separated or a single resident has to move, once again. We found this unfavorable as far as being well-within the realm of our care. All residents of The Lorelton will receive assistance directly to their apartment, if needed.
